Early life
Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, known by the nickname JJ, was born in London on June 19, 1993, to parents of Yoruba heritage. He was raised in Watford and educated at Berkhamsted School.
Career background
He registered the YouTube channel KSIOlajidebt in 2009 and built a following with commentary videos on the FIFA video game series, later adding vlogs and comedic skits. He is a co-founder and former member of the YouTube group the Sidemen.
Rise to fame
He began making hip-hop in 2011 and had his first commercial success with Lamborghini, featuring P Money, in 2015. His debut EP Keep Up (2016) topped the UK R&B Albums Chart, his debut album Dissimulation (2020) peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart, and its follow-up All Over the Place (2021) debuted at number one and was certified platinum.
Public presence
He fought Logan Paul twice, in a 2018 white-collar bout and a 2019 professional rematch that he won by split decision. He co-founded Misfits Boxing and co-owns businesses including Prime Hydration and Lunchly, received the Brit Billion Award in 2024, and has been a judge on Britain's Got Talent since 2025.
